Relax…there is so much info out there people tend to panic. My suggestion is to go with what is called a box set. It gives you everything you need except balls and tees. The key is getting one that is optimized for you. By that I mean a mens set or a ladies set. They generally range in price from $199-$399.

A second option is to buy used clubs (or someone may have given you some). This route is fine but talk to someone at a golf shop or club pro to make sure they are ok for you.

Next buy some balls and tees. No need to get fancy here, buy the least expensive balls you can find (new).

Golf shoes? No need yet…running/tennis shoes will work. Golf clothes? Check your local public course or driving range for dress codes, shouldn’t require much.
